this photo was taken during a morning in Yanchep National Park in Western Australia... you may not be able to notice it easily in the scaled down image but the bird on the branched posed perfectly for the photo... and the conditions around were very quiet and peaceful as well...
thanks to everyone for visiting and commenting... please critique at will - i am looking to learn so any comments and tips are appreciated...

Very nice, tranquil scene. I would have been tempted to pan right and that way lose the overhanging branches in the top left corner and move the focal tree to the left third of the frame.
On the other hand, the centered composition does add to the tranquiil mood of the scene and I don't know what there was to the right that may have been unsuitable to include in the shot!

@drphoto: thanks for your comments Dan - yes the branches detract somewhat from the main scene, however, there were similar ones just on the right as well... I have been there since your comment to see if I could recompose somehow - I might see if a vertical shot would work in the future as a horizontal landscape will end up with some sort of "foreign" branches in the composition...

nice tones on this one a great moment, about the framing i don't loke the branches on the left i would avoid it, cheers.
