the bales of hay signal the end of another harvest season in Western Australia... there is something real nice about this time of the year when farmers are finishing off their crop and bales appear all around the country area called the Wheatbelt...
thanks to everyone for visiting and commenting... please critique at will - i am looking to learn so any comments and tips are appreciated...

I love all of the earhtones. I like harvest here in the US too. It is actually my favorite time of year. After a long winter though, I am happy to be beginning spring!

There is something incredibly calmong about these hay bale strewn landscapes. I love the colours on this one but I would have liked to see that hay bale on the left much closer to the lens, dominating the scene and giving it an anchor. Was it a windy day? I can't find where you have focused and the grass looks really strange.

@drphoto: Dan - it is just the jpeg compression unfortunately... on the original photo the grass looks nice and sharp... i agree on the focus point, in hindsight I should have given the closest bale a bit more prominence...
Stunning shot, the composition and colours are tremendous.
