i have dug out another shot taken in the south of Western Australia near Albany... there are around 12 of these giant mills in this power plant and from far away they do not seem like much but when you get closer then one begins to understand their stature... this one I managed to catch against blue sky and with a bit of typical Aussie red soil...
thanks to everyone for visiting and commenting... please critique at will - i am looking to learn so any comments and tips are appreciated...

They are enormous. You can spot them on the ground from an aeroplane. I don't quite understand the local resistance we have to them in the UK. They are impressive and, to my mind do not diminish the landscape. Certainly not as much as a row of pylons.

Very sci-fi, looking. This is a great composition, and I like how the road and bush give scale to the shot. Nice one.

wow! is that blue out of this world or what?!? sooo intense! love it! excellent angle here mate and contrasting colors to boot. the path is perfectly placed at this angle to carry you right to the center of the pic! love the healthy salt bush along the sides (i miss WA!!) :( marvelous!
