Australia Day 2008

if I am counting correctly then this photo brings me to my first 100 on Am3!!! well, when I first started I wasn't sure if I was gonna get here... this one I kept for this occasion - it was taken during Australia Day celebrations in Perth in January this year... I especially took my camera and tripod to try out some fireworks shots... out of the many I took, I think this was the best... I really like the celebration, the Aussie spirit and the fireworks - great time is always to be had for everyone who comes down to Swan River during that day...

beautiful!!!!! great capture of the moment and i love the reflection on the water. swan river is always so beautiful at night. i attempted some shots at swan river before, but that was before i got my DSLR and it was a time when i was tripodless too.

Hello ;-) So you moved to Australia when you were young? Well, I have to say that lots of people moved form Lodz to other places, mostly in Poland and the UK,in the past few years. I guess this city isn't very appealing it terms of tourism, but I just love the local atmosphere. Although hundreds of thousands people live here, I still find this place somehow peaceful. Anyway, it must be great in Australia ;-) I don't think I have to say it, but your photos are awesome ;-)
