Adelaide

time for a break from the views around Rottnest Island... this time one from the other side of Australia - a view towards the City of Adelaide over the River Torrens in South Australia... a very nice city that I had a chance to visit back in May 2007... it was right in the middle of the biggest rain periods that the place got for a long time but luckily we did have moments to walk around and take some photos as well...

I love the range of colour in this image, there is so much detail here that when you look closely there are lovely little treasures to see, the paddle boats and the swan right in the foreground there, I am not sure what the thing near the swan is that looks like a mini canon, but it all adds to a very interesting image, well composed!

@Andrew Gould: it is a nice city to visit - certainly not as busy as Sydney but with a great charm and beauty... I will look through my collection to see if I can post some other photos from Adelaide...

I love this peaceful scene. Looks like a great place to spend an evening. The added color in the little boats on the opposite shore really adds interest. Nice shot.
