follow the trail

this is another shot from the coastal plains in Western Australia... this time a somewhat closer look at the local native flora in the evening sun... you can also see that the trail itself is just a sandy track through the plains... even though the Coastal Plains Walk Trail is not that long - about 55km - it is reasonably demanding...

thanks to everyone for visiting and commenting... please critique at will - i am looking to learn so any comments and tips are appreciated...

oh yes -- next time i am there i will do the cape to cape walk -- i hear it is best done over 3 or so days, camping as you go. just brilliant! beautiful shot here Maciek -- such lovely warm light and beautiful greens and browns! gorgeous!

I think the reason I really like this photo is not only the golden glow of the evening sun but mainly the exotic flora of the tropics, maybe because it comes from a guy from the northern climate....?

I like this. The sky is a little bit too light/bland for my taste but the rest of the picture seems to be bursting with life. The water leads the eye into the picture nicely and the compressed perspective works for me.

@Aayawa: hello :-) it was a matter of balance - in order to get the colours and vegetation captured i had to sacrifice the sky somewhat - i tried various adjustments on the sky but it just did not end up looking natural enough so i left it like this...
