may be this is not the most artistic or technically brilliant shot but I just wanted to show you how the coastal plains look from a higher vantage point... essentially it is just very much uniform patter of plants, shrubs and trees extending over a vast terrain... from this point of view it is difficult to spot the exactly how many different elements of flora there are - as you would have seen in the previous few posts...
thanks to everyone for visiting and commenting... please critique at will - i am looking to learn so any comments and tips are appreciated...

Difficult subject to capture but I recon you've done well here! What a great expanse of space!!!!

yes, but it's a great panorama!

oops -- sorry, i should have clarified -- where is this shot taken from? :D
18 Aug 2008 3:43pm
@dj.tigersprout: hehe - no worries - i wasn't sure about the previous question... this area is about 5-10km east of Yanchep National Park, which is located 60km north of Perth... in this shot i am actually looking in the southerly direction... on the far right you can just see tiny glimpse of the ocean, then the darker shade of green is Yanchep and then the lighter green and the rest constitute the Coastal Plains... the photo was taken from just about the only hill in the area rising above the plains...
The expanse of flat land is quite striking. The subtle variances in colors that dot the landscape is quite interesting to see.

Awesome shot. I think it must be extremely hard to capture the vastness of the outback but you've done a really good job here.

Thanks for your visits. And looking at this series of photos, I have to agree - our two countries are similar in lots of ways. Climate and landscapes. Obviously the actual vegetation is different, but the same feel is there.

Jak to mówią zima w pełni. Pozdrawiam ze słonecznej Ostrołęki. Tornado nas omineło. Były potworne burze ale nie widziałem bo byłem we Francji. Mam mnóstwo nowych zdjęć. Zapraszam do ogladania
