these are the ruins of an old house used by L E Shapcott, Secretary of the Premier`s Office in the 1930's... the house was later disused and has fallen into ruin and is now an attraction on the 'Ghost House Walk Trail' in the Yanchep National Park... unfortunately I have not learned of any ghost stories that would normally accompany a place like this and no doubt that there are some...
thanks to everyone for visiting and commenting... please critique at will - i am looking to learn so any comments and tips are appreciated...

What I always find amazing is just how fast nature reclaims her space, this image is wonderfully lit, theres a great quality to it.

wonderful composition and shot -- i didn't make it into the park per say -- just had a nice bbq on the grass before heading over to see the koalas! i love urban decay shots though -- wonderful textures here!

j'adore ce genre de sujet, le temps qui passe, la nature qui reprend ses droits, le ridicule de cette porte qui ne mène nulle part... (un brin de surexposition génante dans le ciel, il me semble ?!)
I love this kind of topic, the passage of time, nature takes its rights, ridiculous of this door that leads nowhere ... (a bit of overexposure in the sky, it seems to me!)

Everytime I see a place like this I feel anxious. I don't know why, these are just walls but I just can't feel comfortable in places like this.

This is a superb find and captured beautifully. It's amazing to me that just certain parts of old structures remain - one would think that it's all or nothing, but that's definately not the case.
