rainbow in the night

by some accident I have found myself walking with friends around the Sydney Casino during one of the evenings when I visited the city earlier this year... I was actually on a night photo walk but it was not my intention to end up here... anyway as I walked up the stairs to the right of the fountain I only saw one coloured streams of water shooting up so I didn't think much of it... as I was about to walk away they all shot up in the array of colours that you can see here...

so i thought: hmmmm may be i should try to capture this... so i waited and waited for good fifteen minutes and they did not come up again... as I walked around and placed my camera and tripod on the ground the coloured streams shot up once more - at least this time I managed to measure some sort of exposure and light that I would need for this shot...

I patiently waited for another good fifteen minutes with friends around me telling me to hurry up and me replying that I just want to get this shot on the next chance... and then to my satisfaction - up they came again with full colours showing and this time I was ready and managed to capture this shot...

welcome to my photoblog and thanks for visiting... my aim is to learn photography and share my experiences with you, not only through my attempts at photography, but also through showing different aspects of the world that have caught my interest over the time that i have been walking this planet... hope you enjoy the journey with me...
