evening clouds

this photo was taken just off Glenelg shortly before a brief storm during my visit to Adelaide in 2007... i really like moody evening such as this one - i often find the during winter and storms the skies and ocean are at their most interesting...

@Tony Duque: hello Tony! thanks for visiting :-) yes, that was a sandy beach, it looks a bit rought and solid but I think that is due to the light and also to persistent rains over the few days when I was there... hence the sand was quite wet and dense...

@Jean-Michel: hello Jean-Michel! the only adjustments I have done in post processing is minor contrast and saturation adjustments... when I shoot RAW, I keep my in-camera settings to minimum to get as natural looking shot as possible and only then do some adjustments as required... this one came out quite well straight out thanks to some good natural light and conditions at the time...

I agree with your assessment of the heavens at that time of the year. We've been getting a few wonderful sunsets here (Adelaide) of late due to a slight drop in temperature and increased cloud coverage. Unfortunately, I've been trapped on a bus to make the most of the situation. You've done well here though. :)
