an alley

staying in east Perth for one more shot - this time just a b&w take on one of the alleys around the waterfront presented in the previous post...

What caught me by surprise here is that the wall of buildings was on the right of the frame. So many photographers take the photos such that the "space" the buildings have are on the other side of the frame (right side) as we all, in English, learn to read "left to right". These is nothing wrong here at all, but it did catch me as a unique perspective that is absolutely well done.

there's a really nice atmosphere to this image, a sense of calm before the morning traffic and people leaving their flats in their rush to get to work... like it...

@bm: thanks for visiting! yeah i thought about b&w here because of the smooth gradient of the sky - i saw a very smooth transition of light and thought is suited this type of toning...

Love the composition here. The convergeance of the building, street curb, and street lights toward the horizon adds a nice element; while the tree against the backlit sky stands out very well.

the light in the background is wonderful, high contrast with houses and car...
love this sunset atmosphere in b&w, with lot of grey shades : rough and sweet at the same time.
