the red centre

it is one of the most recognised sights in Australia - the Uluru or Ayers Rock right in the middle of the red centre of the land...

this marks the beginning of a fairly large series of photos from this region... i was hoping for some clouds when i was there but got pretty much none so this is more a study of the changing colours throughout the day and the varied landforms that can be found there... this shot was taken about two hours before sunset...

be prepared to see a lot of this red rock as well as some others in the next weeks...
