the hidden side

taking the base walk around the Uluru is a very rewarding experience... you get to see some hidden sides of the rock and you also get to appreciate the size of the rock... light can play with the rock in many ways as well, creating a show of textures, shadows and shapes...

we preferred this option to climbing on top... while it is not prohibited, it is requested by local Aborigines that people respect their customs and do not climb the Uluru...
