towards the lighthouse

continuing down the south coast of the south island of New Zealand we got to the Catlins region and Nugget Point with the lighthouse that you can see here...

the weather turned out very good because when we were leaving the Otago Peninsula, we could not see anything past 10 meters - the clouds were hanging so low over the land...

talking of clouds, it might interest you to know that New Zealand is called Aotearoa in the native Maori language and this is commonly translated as The Land of the Long White Cloud...
