thank you all for your kind welcome (back) and comments under my previous photo :-) it is sure good to be back!

yes indeed i have managed to take quite a few photos and this time around i had quite a few occasions to actually concentrate on photography as well as enjoy sight seeing...

today's photo was a planned one - this is the view of Paris from the city's highest building: Tour Montparnasse... i was hoping for a slightly better sunset but still enjoyed the view very much... it was hard to take photos from the viewing deck as it is mostly surrounded by a glass barrier and there is only a small opening where you can get your lens through to take a clear shot... in addition, many other people were jostling for the best viewing spot and knocking me and my tripod around, which made long exposures so much more difficult...

in the end i managed to get three of four decent exposures and this is one of them with the streets coming alight in the latter stages of the evening...
