Tasman Lake

from Lake Tekapo we drove to Mount Cook Village and on the first day we explored the area around Tasman Lake... this lake is a relatively recent phenomenon - it has been formed by joining of several smaller meltwater ponds due to the recent retreat of the Tasman Glacier around year 1990...
