Hooker Valley

once we ventured deeper into the Hooker Valley on the walking track, this is the view that awaited us - Mount Cook basking in wonderful afternoon light... there was plenty of snow still covering the peak and it made for a good contrast with the green Spring vegetation below... the river had a grey, muddy hue to it as the melting snow and ice carried a lot of soil and sediment down the stream...
