Cape Woolamai on Phillip Island in Victoria, Australia is an extraordinary place with some alien and surreal looking rock formations and i am very happy that i finally made it there earlier this year...

one evening of shooting was washed out by the rain but luckily on the second evening, the sunset was just glorious and opened up some wonderful colours... the exposure was tricky, as i had to play around with the placement of the filter to ensure that i retained good detail in the rocks around the horizon...

the b&w photo i posted previously was taken about an hour before this one and nothing was suggesting at the time that the sunset would end up as good as this...
