Princes Pier

just a little classic form Melbourne this time... these are the old pylons at the Princes Pier in Melbourne... they have stood the test of time so far and i am very glad that they have been left there to remind us of the history and what used to be...

the pier was constructed between in the early 1910s to supplement the adjacent Station Pier... from completion in 1915 until 1969 it was also a major arrival point for new migrants, particularly during the post-war period...
