Thank you all for my previous photo being selected for a spotlight! I always appreciate all your visits, comments and support.

The main reason for the trip to the Nambung National Park was to try my hand in the art of astro-photography. Me and my partner Paulina drove to the fantastic Pinnacles Desert north of Perth and I was able to plan and capture my first attempts at this kind of work.

It is by no means perfect but I am still pretty proud of it. This is a blend of three exposures - one for the illuminated foreground, one for the shadow area behind and one for the night sky.

I have other plans for the reminder of this year but I intend to explore this kind of photography a bit more next year.

This is also a good photo to take an extended break on. We have some travel plans and I will be away for a couple of months during our pilgrimage to some hopefully amazing places. I will be back around November and I hope to catch up with all of you on Am3 again.

You can follow me on facebook and I will try to find some time during our travels to post a photo or two up there.

Until then take care and good light!
