"It's not as easy as it was or as difficult as it could be for the Samurai in Autumn..."
Łódź is definitely not the most beautiful city in the world - the buildings are old and falling apart, streets are rugged and one can feel depression in the air. Yet, I would prefer to take photos there over Paris, New York, London and almost every other city in the world. That could have something to do with the fact that I was born there and there is a lot of sentimental value there for me.
There is a bright spot in the gloom though. It has some of the best parks that I have seen and witnessing Autumn come to life in any of them is just magical. This is one of the bigger parks called "Zdrowie" in the old school terms or Józef Piłsudski Park in the new nomenclature.
It was hard to leave this place on the day I took this shot and I am glad I was able to take this photo to extend that fantastic moment of being there just a little bit longer.
