Soldiers Beach on the central coast of New South Wales in Australia. The beacon that you can see in the distance is the Norah Head Lighthouse.
This wonderful location abounds in many rock formations that makes it an excellent spot for seascapes. The lighthouse also provides a good focal point and there are many angles and spots that it can be captured from.
For this image I concentrated on the rocky shelves further away from the lighthouse. I took this photo about twenty minutes before the sun came up, while waiting for the sky to light up with sunrise colours. It is a popular location for photographers and there were few other fellow togs running around, making the most of good conditions.
