Golden Glow

It is canola season here in Western Australia and therefore we got out for a drive into the country to find some blooming yellow fields. It was also a chance for me to practice some portraits, which I probably do not do enough of.

I always wanted to take one of these backlit glowing kind of portraits and I managed to do it this time. Afternoon light was just perfect for it and I used a silver reflector to illuminate my partner Paulina. It was good to put into practice all the theory learned from reading about taking outdoor portraits over the years.

I hope you like something a little different this time.

And if you would like to hear Paulina sing, please check out her music at www.basicdesire.net.
