A solitary rock basks in the evening light shining through the thick clouds off the coast, near Reykjanesviti in Iceland.

It was our last evening in Iceland last year and we went chasing some evening light not too far away from where the airport is located. I was in a somewhat contemplative mood after our travels and this kind of light and scene just complimented my thoughts very nicely. I cannot wait to get back out there again next year.

It was also a chance to get my 70-200mm lens out. It allowed me to zoom in just enough on the rock and surrounding light to take the image that I had in mind.
