Rising Hope

A beautiful sunrise we witnessed when getting up for an early morning shoot at Soldiers beach in Australia in February. This was the best sunrise of the trip and the location was very fitting for the show of nature. The colours were very intense.

The tide was a bit on the low side but that allowed for the little pools of water to be perfectly still, otherwise waves would be washing right over and I would not get the reflection I wanted. I wanted to get in a bit closer but there was another photographer just to the right of this scene and I did not want to get in the way. The main colour was in this direction anyway so I was more than happy shooting this composition.

It was pretty hard to get myself out of bed early while on holidays but moments like this make it all worthwhile!
