Autumn was just moving towards its peak when I took this photo in Łódź mid-October almost a year ago. The explosion of colours was just what we were hoping to find when we were exploring another park from the many that you can find in this city.
Once again the day was a bit gloomy, although the rain held off for most part. I did not mind that at all as it allowed for some good even light across the entire scene. The alley was all covered in freshly fallen leaves and combined with the canopies that made me feel like we were in a colourful tunnel while walking down this path. I used a polarising filter to further bring out the saturation in the foliage. I really wanted the colours to be the main attraction in this image.
Few years before we just missed the best of the Autumn in Europe but we more than made up for it last time. It is just my favourite season of the year even if is a bit less prominent here in Australia.
