Perpetual Dream

This year has been a bit quieter for me in terms of photography. I have not had a chance to head out to the coast as often as I would like. Still I managed to do that at least two or three times and this is a long exposure taken on one of those occasions.

I like to take long exposure when there are grey skies and when I am looking for the ethereal monochrome effect. I also like to take them after sunsets, once the main colours have faded away but a little bit still remains in the sky. I found that shooting long exposures at that time allows to extract some lovely soft and more subtle colour. Combined with the misty effect on the water they both work to create a surreal and dreamy atmosphere.
