Warp Reactor

We are back from our trip to New Zealand. Luckily for us the recent earthquake happened on the south island and did not affect us much. Very sad though, to hear of the damage and lives lost, especially since we visited the affected area on our previous voyage to NZ.

I have many photos to process, however, the weather was generally not great for photography and we only had one decent sunrise/sunset during the entire trip. I have taken some hopefully reasonable images and will share them with you soon.

In the meantime this photo comes from Krakow in Poland. A new pedestrian footbridge linking two sides of Vistula River was installed a couple of years ago. It has a rather futuristic design and the water in the river was still enough for me to shoot a symmetrical composition that utilised the reflections.

The title came to me during our flight back from New Zealand. I was watching one of the recent Star Trek movies and when I saw the warp reactor, I immediately thought of this photo and decided to share it first after coming back.
