I recently posted our best sunset of 2017 at Myponga Beach. I want to finish the year with a photo of the best sunrise of 2017 from the Blue Mountains in New South Wales.

It was a magical morning which started very dull and overcast. Strong wind, however, blew the heavy clouds away very quickly and a gap appeared over the landscape just as the sun was rising up. Then the morning sunlight flooded the valley and created a wonderful golden glow effect. There was not much else really to be done with the scene - just admire it live, take some photos and enjoy the results again back at home.

This is my last post for 2017 as we are off to Tasmania for a couple of weeks. I wish you all a fantastic New Year! See you in 2018.
