Brilliance of The Fall

We have just returned from our last trip to the eastern states in Australia. Autumn is in full swing and while this time we did not have any autumn locations planned, I managed to take a few fall images here and there and I will be processing and posting them in the near future.

This photo comes from May 2017 and I captured it in a little town in the Blue Mountains in Australia. It took us some time to find this location but once we did, it was breathtaking. A gravel road wound its way around a lake and it was lined for the most part with beautiful deciduous trees that were at their colourful peak when we visited.

There was not really much to taking this photo other than working our the composition and pressing the shutter button. Using a polarising filter helped to increase the saturation and cut down reflections and unnecessary glare from the green foliage. The magic was already all there in front of us and we walked around at least a couple of times to soak in the brilliance of the fall.
