A return to the beginning of Australian winter from earlier this year. It was a simple but nonetheless beautiful scene in my eyes. I have described more about that day when I posted this photo. There is not really too much more that I can add here. I spotted this composition while we were crossing the ridge. We drove slowly and there were not many people around so I was able to get a good look around. Because I do not get to see or photograph many winter scenes, I was fascinated by the texture which the snow added when combined with the bare branches. Once again, very minimal processing was applied here after raw conversion, just a bit of local contrast adjustment and a couple of my usual finishing touches (orton effect, subtle vignette) were all I needed to do.
